【Differences from previous Kowa Kasei ducts】

・The side hole size of 12.5 mm is the middle size of H, T, L and LL sizes, leading to improvement of workability as well as protection of wires.
・By changing the side hole pitch to 25 mm and the bottom hole pitch to 50 mm, the side hole and the bottom hole can be balanced at the time of dimension cutting.
※As shown by the arrown the right figure, the center of a bottom hole always comes on the center line of the pillar between 2 side holes.

【Heat resistant duct】

JSIA registered item
Class 2 heat resistant type duct
※ Please select “KDEP” for ducts used for Class 2 heat-resistant board

(1)What is Class 2 heat-resistant board?
Based on Japanese Industrial Standards JIS A1304 (Method of fire resistance test for structural parts of buildings), Class 2 boards refers to distribution boards, etc. that can be heated according to a given temperature curve and clear certain criteria.

(2)In order to manufacture a Class 2 heat-resistant board, it is indispensable that the product can withstand the environments specified in Class 2 heat-resistant type distribution boards, etc. test

≪Test conditions≫
① Heat for 30 minutes according to the 280°C heat resistance test temperature curve
② The inside of the board must be105°C or less

In the environment where the control panel and distribution boards are installed and the ambient temperature can become high, wiring protection inside the boards can be maintained by using Class 2 heat resistant ducts.

【Lightweight duct】

【Importance of weight reduction】

Weight reduction in railway vehicles, ships, aircraft and the like has been an important subject since old times and enormous efforts continue to be made from design to details of individual structural equipment. Recently, “weight saving” has become one of the keywords in manufacturing for general industrial products and the parts that make them up, and it has been taken up as an important issue in the manufacturing industry.

◆Weight reduction can be realized with halogen-free flame retardant PP ducts!!

(1) Weight can be reduced to about 1/6 to 1/8 compared with stainless steel (SUS 304) and steel plate.

* Because it is a resin, processing is easier than stainless steel and steel plate (processing cost reduction)

(2) Weight reduction of the equipment itself becomes possible.
⇒Example: Aircraft and railroad cars are advancing weight saving

* Weight reduction makes it easier to place equipment on site.
⇒Easy to change the layout in the factory

* The transportation costs of the equipment can also be reduced by weight saving.

【Economical compared with conventional ECO duct】

About 50% price reduction compared with conventional products and ECO wiring duct “KDE”!

* Do you ever face these types of challenges?
・I want to use ECO Duct, but the cost is too high so I use PVC ducts…
・ I currently use ECO Duct, but would like to reduce costs a little more..

Why was it possible to achieve an approximate 50% cost reduction compared to conventional products?
The conventional ECO wiring duct material used a very expensive modified PPE.
By changing the material and adopting halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene, a price range that meets everyone’s expectations has been realized.

【Oil-resistant duct】

An ECO Duct that has strong resistance to oil (lubricating oil)!

Conventional ECO wiring ducts had poor resistance to oil (lubricating oil) and displayed stress cracks after several hours if oil was adhered.
We have been able to suppress this problem by using halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene.

*Oil used In-house test: Tapping Paste, Suten Kororin Red, Suten Kororin Green
Internal test Apply lubricant (Suten Kororin Red)

◆Environmentally conscious (uses materials not containing halogen substances)
◆Excellent in oil resistance and heat resistance
◆Weight reduction of equipment is possible due to light weight resin
◆Economical compared to conventional ECO Duct
◆The side hole is widened to 12.5 mm
◆Supports various regulations and standards (RoHS Directive, REACH regulations, etc.)
◆Can be easily cut with the recommended tool such as birdie cutter.

(When sawing with a saw blade, burrs will occur)
注意 To cut, please use a cutter for resin cutting
注意 Storage method After removing from the packing, keep flat since leaving the product stored at an angle may cause deformation

Part numbering rule

◆KDEP-( model )-( length )-( side hole )

Example) For “Model 88, length 2 m, side hole M type” ⇒ “KDEP-88-20-M”
* We also offer a type without side hole or bottom hole.

When ordering please select whether you require a side hole or a bottom hole.
Example) Model 26 with bottom hole ⇒ “KDEP-26-20-NP with bottom hole”
